SPEEDY RIB-EXCURSION
to Trollfjorden, Grunnstad, Henningsvær (Gallery Lofotens Hus and lunch at Henningsvær Brygge hotel)
and Kabelvåg (Lofoten Aquarium).
Departure all days at 1300 hrs.
Departure from the quay by the town square in the center of Svolvær.
Requires a minimum of 5 persons.

We leave Svolvær and head for the spectacular Trollfjorden, a narrow fjord with precipitous mountains on both sides
Our next stop will be the bay of Grunnstad where majestic mountains are towering over chalk white sandy
beaches. And we might catch a glimpse of the white-tailed eagle (sea eagle) - the largest bird of prey
in Nothern Europe - before we move on to the harbour of Skrova, the whalers' island. We then cross open
waters and arrive at Henningsvær.
At Henningsvær we visit the gallery of Lofotens Hus where we can enjoy its magnificent collection of art
and spectacular slide show.
Stunned with the sights we then take a stroll to Henningsvær Brygge hotel where we'll have lunch
consisting of the very best fish soup that Lofoten can offer (1st prize at several competitions).

After lunch we leave for Kabelvåg, passing islets and skerries.
At Kabelvåg we visit the aquarium called Lofotakvariet, where we can take part in feeding the seals and otters.
After having spent 45 minutes at the aquarium we return to Svolvær where the excursion ends.

TRIPS TO TROLLFJORD
Trollfjord is the destination that is
visited by moust tourists in the Lofoten Islands in the summer. Trollfjord is a branch of Raftsundet and is located in east of
Lofoten Islands on Austvågøya.
The fjord is 2 km long and only 100 m
wide at the mouth.
Trollfjord, is widely known for "The Trollfjord battle" that is central to the northern Norwegian fishing history.
Rib Lofoten have regular trips from
Svolvær to Trollfjord in the summer season.
Also on our SPEEDY RIB-EXCURSION, we drop by the fjord, which is regarded as a MUST.

EAGLE SAFARI

ORCA SAFARI
Killer whale is one of our most coastal-bound whale species. It has certainly played a role in the coastal population lives in the hundreds, perhaps thousands of years.
Every autumn the killer whales comes along with the herring into the Vestfjorden and to Tysfjord.
